Newbie to the Site

I grew up in Texas and always had a place to hunt whitetails. I moved out to California 9 years ago and have continued hunting. Not in California, but rekindled my love for Africa. My wife and I bowhunt and are scheduled to hunt with Koos deMeyer with Kuche Safaris in August. Have any of you guys bow hunted with Koos? This will be our 7th time over to Africa. I've hunted in Zimbabwe and in RSA.
Welcome to AH.....we look forward to seeing pics of your safari.

We just returned from our safari with Kuche. We hunted 10 days in various areas of the country, which was quite nice to have a change of scenery every few days. Much different that previous bow hunting safaris we have been on. We were placed on ranches that had gun hunting going on at the same time, from the same blinds, with PHs hired by Kuche. Needless to say, the animals were very skittish and not willing to come in to feed or water during daylight hours. We tried our best, but came up a little short on animals. Thanks to our PH Leon and the cook, Max. We brought home some great memories.

Welcome to AH, Kenny, nice bushbuck!

Nice black wildebeest, congrats.

Welcome, as a native Texan myself I have to ask why in the world did you move to the left coast?????? Anyways, glad to have you.

Gizmo,

Moved out here for a job opportunity. Didn't know you could eat outdoors until I made the move! Have not had to sweat since. Definitely need discression out here when discussing hunting. The Eyes of Texas are always upon me!

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
