Newbie from California

I know I know another Californian !! I was born here, but grew up in Oregon, lived in Australia for 10 years and have been in Ca for 12 years. Love to hunt and fish, great waterfowl here in the central valley, long seasons, liberal limits, and my blind is only 40 min from my house. Also make a trip annually to Wyoming for Mulies and Antelope

I travelled to Sub Saharan Africa in the early 90's for work ( mining industry ), visited Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, and RSA. Was able to see a lot of the country's by car, and was able to work in a couple of short hunting trips while there.

I have been itching to get back to Africa and am leaving with my Wife, In August for a 5 day hunt for Kudu, Gemsbuk and Springbok, then a nice trip to Etosa, houseboat on the Zambizi and finish it off with a couple of days in Vic Falls.

Can't wait to go and I will try and to a report when I return

Thanks for the welcome, I own a Tikka T3 superlite in 7mm and a Weatherby 270 WSM. I will not be taking these with me, as it's a short hunt and we will be travelling to 3 countries and leaving from Zimbabwe, the PH is going to let me use his gun.

No my wife does not hunt, she will be doing photo safari while I am hunting.

And no do not reload at the moment, I have everything to do it, except time !!
