Hello, my name is Dave Magruder. I've been a member of the thread for a few months now, live in Van Buren AR. Originally for Great Falls MT. My cousin and I went a safari in South Africa last May, hunted Cape Buffalo, Giraffe, Gemsbuck, Kudu, Black and Blue Wildebeest. Had a great time, I've already booked a trip back next year for my wife and myself. I believe going to Africa is a slippery slope, I've already postponed early retirement to continue to travel to Africa on hunting trips. I'm wanting to book an importable lion or maybe do hippo and croc hunt for 2026. I'll be attending the SCI in Nashville to figure out my hunts for 2026.

:S Welcome:

Welcome aboard, get that Lion booked and tell us the story!

Welcome to AH River Valley!

Hi Dave
Ernest here.
We have deals in South Africa as well as wild Africa for the species you mentioned. This year we hunted a exportable Lion In South Africa which is more affordable than in Wild Africa. We may have another deal such as that come up soon.
Hippo we can hunt in the Greater Kruger.
Please feel free to email me on info@spearsafaris.com or come see us in Nashville. Booth# 514 / 512
Hope to hear from you
Cheers

Talk to President Trump so that he can open up importation of many trophies that have been shut down from the Obama era.
Some species that come to minds are polar bears, lions, brown hyena, bontebok where the respective governments of Canada and South Africa have determined (through scientific research) a sustainable quota that can legally be harvested every year but which is not recognised by US Fish and Wildlife. ‍♂️
