I haven't seen many Husqvarna rifles with claw mounts with the scope with it. I'm pretty happy to find this one.

I couldn't get this last photo to load yesterday

excellent rifles - Quite common here in Europe - as are their chainsaws and washing machines - cant speak for the chainsaws but the the washing machines and rifles are excellent ! Yep I am a domestic goddess !

I've had several Husqvarna rifles. Currently the calibers that I have are a 9.3x57, 8x57, and the 6.5x55 mentioned above.
There are a couple of other calibers that I hope to find eventually.

Hensholdt is a trade mark of Zeiss ( often used on military and Leo scopes beside the civilian ones )
It was also civilian scopes as Zeiss did not make scopes under their name. Later when Zeiss started branding civilian scopes in under their name, Hensholdt became the military and LEO brand. Zeiss sold Hensoldt several years ago.

They are also common here in Canada. They are found in 6.5c55, 30-06, 8x57,9x57 and 9c62. The 62’s are gaining in interest as moose and bear guns

A pretty gun but you may need a step ladder to see the crosshairs. Very high mount. The bolt is obviously made to accommodate lower scopes. Does someone make a side safety for Huskie?

I have a couple with factory side safety as well with the Mauser flag here in shop. One is a beaut in 9.3x62 on a 98 action

Exellent scope it is , and can hold it self today against many others also .

Fine rifles, I've had several and all were shooters!

Looks like a beautiful rifle! Would love to see some pics of the full rifle. :-)

i have a husky vapenfabriks a.b. kal 8mm commersial 98 action rifle that i was going to have rebored to 35 whelen, but it shoots so darn well in 8mm and has a adjustable trigger that breaks like glass. so have left it alone.

The mount works well for me. A bit high but is comfortable enough for me.
The flag safety has been modified to clear the scope and it is smooth and easy to use. Much better than the usual Mauser flag safety.

I love huskies. I need to get back into a couple. I sold out of my 6.5 swede and 9.3x62 to get the same calibers in Ruger Africans.

But the husqvarna are great quality and a very classic look. My 9.3x57 will never go anywhere. Need to pick up a 8x57 with a sidemount. The sidemount are pretty unique.

I need to know if this is legit. Photo with today's paper would do it.

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
