New rifle, best lubricant for dry, dusty conditions?

If it is a brand new Rigby (congrats by the way) ask Rigby it's their rifle...

I think I may have worded my post badly... It's a .416 Rigby, not a Rigby rifle! Mine's right at the other end of the budget scale, a CZ550...

Yep, light oil on exposed steel, light grease or oil on action components. Step up to a heavier coat only if you know you'll encounter really wet weather. I won't begin to debate bore care, because there is a different answer for every member on here, hahaha.
