New Over Under

Beautiful shotgun. My oldest son has one of those. You did well on the quail, something we don't often get to hunt around here. (probably good the way I shoot :ROFLMAO: )

That is a beautiful shotgun. Looks like it's pointing quite well for you.

Thank you!
It’s much better fitting than my Beretta silver pigeon. So far I’m pleased with it.

I had two Beretta 686 Silver Pigeons (12 & 20 bore) and they never fit me quite right. Beautiful and fully capable shotguns that I (unfortunately) was unable to take advantage of due to improper fit. It was a very difficult decision to take the leap and sell these shotguns. After a frustrating day at the range the die was cast and they were sold in short order.

Now having a shotgun that fits me properly is an eye opener. Hitting targets now that were just a dream before. Glad you also found one that comes to your shoulder and hits where you are looking. It doesn't hurt that the wood on yours is truly exceptional. Well done sir.

I couldn’t agree more. Beretta makes a fine product, however it just wasn’t for me.

Congratulations on your fine shotgun as well. How do you like the Blaser?

It's hard to know what you are missing until you aren't missing it anymore. This is to include both how it fits me AND the clays it breaks. It makes it easy to accept an invitation to join someone for a day of shotgunning, knowing I will shoot better than I have in the past.

I'll be talking to a professional shotgun instructor to further my skills, but I seriously doubt my abilities will be limited my kit. I have lots of room for growth with this one, and that's just what I was looking for.

What are your goals for this new addition? Is it solely a hunting arm or is it sporting clays (and other games) as well?

I agree. When you have a shotgun that fits you appropriately it makes all the difference. I’ve never had one up until this point. I’m sure there are small tweaks that could be done to the gun to make it fit better/perfectly but I’m not sure it’s worth it at this point.
I bought the gun strictly for a field guide but would take it to the clays course.

It sounds like you enjoy the Skeet/trap course very much. Hopefully the instructor can help you further your skills and get you hitting high percentages!

Reza Call me any time you want to talk about Elephant. hunting and CMS.
I've hunted two Elephant with CMS.
In 13 African safari's and an equal number of North American hunts, BUZZ is the best guide I have ever hunted with.
