New Model 70 Scarcity?

24 years ago, I went into a pretty well known gun store in a small town in Michigan because it was on my way home from somewhere. Sitting in the used gun section was a pristine M70 Super Express in .375 H&H. It was a thing of beauty. Asking price was $699. The store owner said the guy bought the gun, shot it 3 times, didn't like the recoil, brought it back and traded it against a 7MM Rem Mag. I had not yet made my first trip to Africa but a Cape Buffalo was on my Bucket List so that gun followed me home and in full stealth mode went into my gun safe.

Well 3 weeks ago, that gun finally fulfilled it's destiny and killed a Cape Buffalo with one shot (did the insurance shot but it was DOA when we got there) thanks to the expert PH work of Marius at KMG.

Now all I wanna do is hunt Buffalo with that gun.

I am going to go to Texas and hunt a Nilgi with it this winter.

Out of curiosity, what have been the going rates on the Super Express 375 in excellent shape?
$1500-$1600 if controlled round feed. Less if push feed. They were made both ways.

Good morning,
Did you hunt w Leeuwkop at their ranch or in Zimbabwe? The ranch looks awesome, but I'll be in Zimbabwe for buffalo and whatever else we dig up.
What did you hunt for?
Vaccines?
What rifle did you use?
I feel like I need a good cotton safari shirt and an ammo belt to make the hunt feel right!
How often did you shoot prior to going?
Did you use sticks for shooting practice?
