Hello Rob. Welcome to AH, where you will be convinced to buy a big bore, and then be told it's really only a mid bore. Where you will be talked into buying more guns, new hunting gear, and optics you never thought you could afford. (And probably can't) Where you will be convinced to put all your savings aside (as if you'd still have any) for your first, second and third trip to Africa. Where some guy named Bob will tell you what a .243 is good for, and why your tomatoes will thank you for it. Where some guy named Toby will undoubtedly have a rifle you'd like to buy, but while you're trying to figure out the logistics of exporting it from the US to Canada, some guy named Krish will have already bought it. Don't worry, he will sell another one next week. (Krish may buy it too) Where if you find a rifle nearby you think you might want, rookhawk will tell you more about it than the person or place selling it, just by looking at a blurry, out of focus picture of just part of it. Where almost everyone is an enabler when it comes to hunting or firearms...
And hopefully you'll love every minute of it!
You'll get to converse with a great bunch of guys (and gals) who are passionate about hunting, about conservation, about firearms, and about Africa. Or any combination of these things and more. This site has taxidermists, hunting guides/outfitters/PH's, travel experts, gunsmiths, and people who have been reloading since before gunpowder was invented!
Almost everyone here will eagerly welcome you and do what they can to prepare you for an amazing Africa Hunting experience!

Hello from Alberta Canada. I have hunted several North American big game species and I’m starting to research an African hunt.

Hi ....what species do you have in mind to hunt?...depending on what you are looking at , and if you don't want to follow the usual SA route ...I know a great place in zambia you could try ;) :D Beers:

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
Ready for the hunt with HTK Safaris

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
