New JP Sauer 100 FE Exception 9.3x62 Mauser

I do not know why they keep using a 14.5 LOP when most Americans like a 13.5 LOP, but Germans do things different !

Because Americans have short arms?

That is a joke for the humour delete people.
I would prefer a longer LOP so it can be modified to suit me, easier to remove than add wood. Or it could just be that Germans do things different
Gumpy

Forgot to add the important bit, the rifle looks nice, I would probably prefer a darker colour timber, but that’s just me

This American prefers the 14.5” lop. The 13.5 puts my face too close to the rifle bolt when working the action. Most being the operative word but not all. Probably why I prefer the European guns such as the Mauser 98 and Mannlicher Schoenauer.

Did you end up receiving this gun?
It's on the way to my FFL. Already many other buyers posted it on their social media accounts last week. Also rifle has been listed on the exclusive distributor website and different social media outlets.

Very interested in this rifle. There is certainly a lot to like about it, but I have a small concern. According to the person I spoke with at Rivers and Glen (who were very nice and answered all my questions) the sling mount is permanently attached to the barrel band.

My concern is about the mount slapping against the barrel under recoil every time the rifle is fired without a sling. (similar to the issue of a free moving stacking swivel hitting the gas cylinder on an M1 Garand during recoil). And as the rifle uses a standard sling swivel stud mount on the stock, I just do not see any advantage to this set up, and I see several potential negatives (like also making the sling more difficult to take on and off quickly versus just using two sling studs)

Can anyone share any insight on this? Am I missing something?
Thanks.
I got the rifle. Sling mount can be removed from the barrel band. It comes with a flush screw. I did remove it and put I back easy. rifle come with 2 more sling mounts for a total of 3 pieces with the same flush screw system.

Thanks for clarifying that. Appreciate it.
Very nice looking rifle! Congrats.

The one thing that really turns me off on this rifle as illustrated, is the incredibly high scope mounts.

I do not know who designed these bases (I have also seen them on a Rigby Highland Stalker), but they for sure do not seem to have much practical experience or even practical sense.

This rifle would look so much better with simple, low profile, bases and rings such as Talleys.

Luckily, it is easy to fix :)

And why is the rear sight halfway down the barrel? I hate that on a rifle, as I actually like to shoot the irons before deciding if I want to scope it or not.

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
