These are nice rifles. Easy to line up the sights and shoot. The buyer will be happy with a New Haven Winchester.

IIRC, the "late model" one I had DID have one piece bottom metal, and the extractor, (as on this rifle) was a brushed steel finish, "in the white'" unlike earlier ones with blued steel extractor.
I believe John Barsness had an article in RIFLE magazine, in the early 2000's, in which he described how Winchester went from a "cast steel" extractor to a proper "spring steel extractor" supplied by Williams and recommended this as a replacement.

Mine, purchased in 2004, right before Winchester closed the New Haven plant, had the Spring Steel extractor, AND a one piece bottom metal (possibly a Williams part as well).

As many of you can understand "I should have never sold that rifle!"

Notable that since Winchester came under the ownership of FN/ BACO group of companies, the Safari Express remained in the product lineup, basically unchanged.

Someone will get a nice piece of history from Winchester.

Good Luck With the Sale!

Hello, My wife and I hunted with Marius 2 years ago. He fit us into his schedule after a different outfitter "bailed" on us. He was always very good with communications and although we didn't end up meeting him personally, he called us multiple times during our hunt to make sure things were going well. We were very happy with him.

Reach out to the guys at Epic Outdoors.

They will steer you right for landowner tags and outfitters that have them.

I have held a membership with them for years and they are an invaluable resource.

Way better that asking random people on the internet...WAY better

Skydiver386,

Did you ever find your 30-06 CZ550? I own a fairly solid conditioned one, if you wanted to talk.
