Good morning

When the Chapuis Iphisi came out I looked at it at the DSC or SCI show that year (Don't remember which one)

I have owned and shot several Chapuis double over the years and My 9.3 RGEX is my favorite rifle I own. Last year after our Mozambique safari my wife mention she might want to try a double at some point) She shoots her 375H&H bolt gun very well. So at SCI this year I mention to @Tom Leoni that if he knew where I could find a slightly used Iphisi I would be interested in buying one. I put my BRNO 602 up for sale and hoped I could track down a Iphisi. Well a couple months go by and Tom sends me a message that he located me a double and help me get in contact with the seller and I made the purchase. It arrived at my FFL and I was able to pick it up Tuesday this week. I have had a spare butt stock on the shelf in the shop that i bought from WLM in scottsdale several years ago as a back up for my other Chapuis, in case I ever broke a stock. Well it will now become the HER's stock for this double and I will keep the stock on the double currently as mine. Picked up a box of the hornaday rounds it was regulated with and will see how it shoots next week. Then will develop loads for my normal hunting and practice bullets.

I also want to thank @Tom Leoni for his help and @ActionBob and @Just Gina for the posts they put up when she first bought her's.

Will post again after I have the opportunity to shoot it.

Congrats. Is this the 375 or 450/400 version?

Congrats on a beautiful double! My current unrealistic "realistic" dream double rifle is a Chapius Iphisi in 450/400. Maybe one day!

Congratulations to you and your wife, Dave! Please let me know if I can help in any other way, and keep us all posted on y'all's adventures with it!

I thought that the Iphisi was a plain or PH grade double, but that one looks well above that. Congratulations Dave.

This one is the 375 H&H model.

Looking forward to shooting it and then seeing if my wife wants to hunt with a double. Her shotgun is a Beretta semi auto so she has no experience with double of any kind. I have a nice english SxS 12 ga that will fit her that I will start her off with, to learn double triggers.

@Kevin Peacocke @Tom Leoni is owed all the credit for tracking this one down for me. He said it had nice wood. Well it has very nice wood and along with a good bit of fiddle back on both sides of the butt stock. And a plus is that it has the same wood tones as my 9.3. The spare stock that will be fit for my wife's LOP is also nice with good figure but is a darker tone.

She’s a beauty. Heartiest congratulations ! Nothing like a .375 Holland & Holland Magnum double rifle for on-foot lion stalks.

I have a Chapuis 12 Gauge with express sight. The right barrel is rifled. Excellent quality and accuracy with Brenneke K.O. I shot a black bear on my farm I'm Wisconsin last year.

@Hunter-Habib Thank you. I used my 9.3x74 ;last year on a lioness. So I think you are correct that the 375 would be a great option too.
