I am looking for a caliber for ellie backup - the 470 will continue to do the rest.

Will be doing some testing between the .577 and the .600 next week. Tests will be on Hyem or Verney Carron and Sabattie.

Will keep you posted on feedback...

I don't want to set @spike off...but I was watching videos of Mark's hunts last night with my ph's, 20 minutes was enough, how does he keep a straight face when you can clearly see he is the only one that has shot.

well i have used my .416 rigby for driven boar and i seem to recall someone on here , i think maybe from sweden using his .470 for the same, so a .577 or .600 should be fine on lechwe and waterbuck........and maybe a sable as i am sure you would be tempted........
