I need to know the diameter immediately in front of the belt on unfired Norma 416 Rem brass.

It may allow me to save my current barrel. All I have now is Remington 416 Rem brass, and as I have seen with other cartridges, Rem brass made 20 years ago is sometimes below min SAAMI spec, which causes all kinds of problems. So I either need larger diameter brass or I need to chamber a new barrel.

It would be about 10 days before I could actually mic some brass, but,,,what problem are you having?

I shoot a 416 Remmag mod 70 as well and have the same click from reload 3 or four you mentioned in the other thread. The rifle is very accurate and has been 100 % reliable.

Thanks!!!

That is only .0015" larger than mine, which isn't enough. Given this rifle as earned a forever place in my safe, I guess It's time to buy a reamer and fire up the lathe.

I too don't have any reliability issues, but I hate clickers......
