Of course we had no permit or tag for leopard
Which of course the leopard knew, which is why you saw him like that! I had a leopard less than 10 feet from the door of the bakkie in Zim, same thing.

Nice nice bull Johnny !Finding lots of spoor of big cats traveling to water holes while hunting. They seem to have no interest in the baits right now. Not good news. Keep on trying. While driving this morning my PH slammed on the brakes and said big kudu. We jumped out of the truck sticks in hand and my 300 wsm. My ph pointed to the kudu 225 yards away. My first shot hit him a bit low but you could tell he was sick. He stepped out and I shot him in the shoulder, he ran 20 yards and dropped. I have my first African trophy. 53/52 inches of free range kudu.

We've had zebra out for a while cats not touchingly anything unless they've killed it themselves . They have zero interest in baits right now. So what I've decided is to hunt hard for the next 2 days for zebra, eland and oryx. We have confirmed an active bait that a mature male is hitting on the main Schoenfeld farm for which we are licencesd to hunt.
Trail cam shows he's not a monster but a good cat. So on Monday we will hunt there for the remainder of the hunt. Wish my luck fellas! Gonna go right down to the wire.
Yes sir you are right. Any leopard is a great leopard. He is one very worthy adversary. As I am sure you are discovering, any mature cat is a "great" cat! Best of luck.
Thank you sir. When you put it that way I'm touched.nothing wrong with taking it right down to the wire johnny...
