NAMIBIA: Johnnyblues V.S. Mr. Spots Round Two

Good luck with the hunt! Took me two tries to get a leopard - all the sweeter for that!

And if you can, the Hartmaan makes a great rug - much better than plains zebra in my view - the hair is more "velvet-like', thicker and more contrast between white and black. A wonderful trophy and one usually well-earned.

I'm getting envious just writing this . . . can't wait for the report!

Thank you sir, yes hopefully we will have the time to harvest one. A rug is what I would do if I’m lucky.

Best of luck to you!! Wallop a beauty - and safe travels!!

Good luck buddy. I will be rooting for you. Here's hoping you lower the boom on Mr. Spots!

Fantastic Wes! Great destination. Thank you, hopefully we will have one in the salt. Spoke to my PH today we have multiple baits being hit daily and several sets of large spore. Best of luck to you! Look forward to your report.

Ok boys I know I am a bit pre mature but...I have 27 days till I depart for Namibia to give ANOTHER try to harvest a leopard. All indications are good as of today with several males hitting baits and one very large guy. Damara dik dik, steenbok, klipspringer, springbok and possibly Mtn zebra on the hit list.
Best of hunting luck, Johnnyblues.
Mr Spots awaits you...

Nugget here. A guide gave me the nickname as I looked similar to Nugent at the time. Hunting for over 50 years yet I am new to hunting in another country and its inherent game species. I plan to do archery. I have not yet ruled out the long iron as a tag-along for a stalk. I am still deciding on a short list of game. Not a marksman but better than average with powder and string.
