NAMIBIA: Johnnyblues V.S. Mr. Spots Round Two

Congrats!

Well done Johnny! Congratulations to you, your PH and all the others that helped make this dream come true. What a wonderful trophy.

Superb effort!! Mate, after such perseverance over a long, long time - you DESERVE that leopard!! Congratulations!!

Ok guys just to finish up the story, Johan arrived at 3 am with another leopard hunter / dog handler. And they brought some big time reinforcements in the way of dogs. We immediately set out to the bait and as we arrived the dogs were going crazy already. They were put on the spoor and off they went. Mind you this brush is so thick you think you had gone a quarter of a mile but in reality it’s maybe 100yards. The tension was incredible the two dog guys in front followed by my PH and then me along with the trackers hold high intensity lamps. Very slowly and cautiously we all went. The guys in front tried to position themselves in between thorn bushes in case of a charge. We had been tracking about 45 minutes when we came upon my cat stone dead. Everyone was relieved and elated at the size of the cat. Congrats all around and even some tears... Now a day of relaxing and doing all the paperwork for the Namibian government. Then onto more hunting.

Congratulations! I can only imagine the relief and sense of pride. Relief of having gotten a great cat and taking him without anyone getting hurt. Pride for the incredible discipline! Way to go. I am very happy for you and your PH.

Thank you for taking us all along on your adventure, a well earned and sought after cat. Awesome job by all the PH and staff in the recovery, tip my hat to them and a big high 5 to you:A Big Hello:

Awesome! Congratulations! What a cat and what an adventure.

Johnny, we all think that is a great cat, but what do we know? It's Mrs. JB's opinion that counts, what did she have to say about it?

Congrats on a incredible trophy and hunt, well earned tom!!!

Nugget here. A guide gave me the nickname as I looked similar to Nugent at the time. Hunting for over 50 years yet I am new to hunting in another country and its inherent game species. I plan to do archery. I have not yet ruled out the long iron as a tag-along for a stalk. I am still deciding on a short list of game. Not a marksman but better than average with powder and string.
