Good luck, enjoy!
What airline did you fly and how was it? It's about time for my wife and I to get tickets for our Namibia trip
How was the experience with ethiopian? Did you take your own guns?It started with United and ended with Ethiopian. I HIGHLY recommend contacting @TRAVEL EXPRESS. They are a sponsor here. My itinerary changed 6 times from the time I booked it until I left. Each time Jennifer handled everything. I never would have been able to manage it on my own.

I’m taking advantage of the rare combination of a few minutes of idle time and internet coverage. This trip has exceeded my wildest dreams. @Jaque Spamer with @JKO HUNTING SAFARIS has gone above and beyond to make it a success. We’ve still got a day and a half so I can only imagine what other opportunities we may be presented or what else I may experience.

I agree fully, lets not forget Namibia is the World Leader today in proper wildlife management, managed by science and not emotion. Game behind every bush, it was an amazing experience. Cant wait for the report, up to date info is very scarce in these crazy times and in need of some safari to fuel the passion. Dam good job Mr Telford and JKO.@ John telford
Mate I fell in love with Namibia. The Kalahari, Gobabis region and Etosha national park. The culture, the people and the hunting left nothing more to be desired in my books. I would go back in a heartbeat if finance allowed it.
Bob.
I had to fly Airlink from OR Tambo . The Alternative is Westernair but it only flies Tuesday and Thursday. What airline did you take?
Can you elaborate on the covid testing processes?

Bob it is a truly unique place. Where I was in Opuwa the Himba tribe still walk around in their traditional kit! Ladies are bare chested and covered in Red Ochre. It’s the real deal and not just for tourists since there aren’t any ! For the men a stick/club/panga is deriguer and there is surprisingly very few cases of violence.@ John telford

So do you bring a negative test upon departure or you have to get it done when you arrive? What I had heard so far was everyone showed up to the airport leaving the US with a negative test and thats all that was required?I had to fly Airlink from OR Tambo . The Alternative is Westernair but it only flies Tuesday and Thursday.
I did the covid test at Path care medical center. It was as easy as walking in and filling in a two page document. The only unpleasantness was getting an earbud stuck up my nostril! Results were emailed to me before I arrived in Windhoek!

Mike you will need a negative test to allow entry into Namibia and then one for leaving Namibia. Basically a go /no go test that is required of most travelers by the airlines. In both instances it should not be older than 72 hours before your date of departure.
Thanks for the info! We will be taking our own guns so fingers crossed no major issues especially on the way there!Overall Ethiopian was not bad. I did take my own guns and that was the source of the one negative aspect of traveling with them. Despite being told that the guns would check through on our stop in Addis Ababa they escorted us to the baggage handling area where we had to identify our check bags and show our 4457 forms. This caused us to have to go through security multiple times and we were very tight on our connecting flight in both directions.
