I got scammed............. I received a pm from a member who has had an account for quite awhile stating that he had the scope I was wanting.
HIS IDENTITY WAS STOLEN!!!
I'm out 2400.00 or 1/2 a hippo on next years hunt
Lesson learned for me.

The man who had his identity stole did contact me this morning as soon as he realized what happened.

Sadly I’ve learned no WTB or ISO ads on AH… almost without exception they get responded to by scammers…

When I want something very specific I search threads here and try to find members that have talked about that product or service before, and then I contact them directly to ask for assistance or to see if they’d be interested in a sale..
