My new Von Gruff

bob, the pictures say otherwise.
you always struck me as a man of style and good taste, as well as distinguished.
I could imagine that you might have had to spend a fair bit of time avoiding the girls throughout your life.

They say old age is a privilege bestowed upon fewer and fewer each year. They also say only the good die young. So here I sit safe from one and working on the other...Ha

Bruce, you did a tremendous job writing up your assessment of the new Von Gruff knife in your possession. Garry's knives rival and or beat any other working knife that is available. Some come with downright beautiful scales, but the working ends know what "business" is all about. Like you so aptly said there will probably be another Von Gruff knife in your future.

Bruce, I hope you don't mind me adding on to your thread. My new Von Gruff Knife showed up today. I'm unable to match your eloquence in describing the knife and my appreciation of it. But I'm every bit as pleased with it as you were with yours. Mine is a Light Hunter with Black Lacewood Scales in a tooled case with a steel.

Nice, nice.
I have one ordered. Mmm it’s cut out but he is waiting on handle material that is in transit.
It’s gonna be a while but he will work his magic when he can.

interesting to see a fair number of steels in knife pictures.
i hope guys find them as effective as i do mine.
i even use it on my pocket knife.
when i learned how to use it with effect, it definitely improves the edge applied with a strop.

I bought 4 meters of the rod I make the steels from and am getting through it at a reasonable rate so am pleased thay are getting such a good reception. Now that I have the process organised it is quite a nice change to make them.
