Just in time for my birthday the last tiger hunter arrived in the mail today!
It’s definitely going to be a great addition to my Asian sub continent collection ! Very beautiful hard copy !
Hopefully a additional version on Africa is in the works

I’m expecting my copy any day now. Looking forward to reading it.

This is part 1

This channel made a 3 part series about the life of Hunter Habib without either his or the co author of the book consent . And they have plagiarized content from the book also / rewritten some of it as not to look too much suspiciously .

So I hope as many as possible can report the videos

@Hunter-Habib something to look at and talk with the co author about .

Great to see them in the wild! @Doug3006 yours just left Denver - a few days more!

I do have three copies left from the second bulk order - get them while they are hot!

@KJE81 if you are interested, send me a DM.
Great book written by a great man!!!!!

I sincerely hope that you enjoy my modest little trial at being an author, @pilar

The true credit goes to young Shaiaz. He practically FORCED me to author this book. He took up the initiative six years ago and did all the hard work. At that time, only one English book existed exclusively about hunting in the Sundarban mangrove forests (Tahawar Ali Khan’s excellent “Man Eaters Of Sundarbans” published in 1961).

So when I finally agreed to author this book, Shaiaz & I agreed that we would write a book not only about my own tiger hunting adventures but also about every single comprehensive piece of information regarding hunting the Royal Bengal tigers which inhabit those mangrove forests in our part of the world. It was a very trying project (mind you-neither of us are professional authors), but the young man & I finally succeeded.

At the time when Shaiaz & I first met, I had actually misplaced the photograph of myself with my first man eater (the one I shot in 1981). But the young man tracked down another copy of that photograph for me, which was at the head office of the Sundarban Department of Forests. I myself was completely ignorant of the fact that they even had another copy with them. But I’m certainly glad that they did.

Ah, yes. I recently found out about this, @PerH

I honestly don’t know why Indians have such a morbid obsession with what goes on in our country (after we booted out the previous pro Indian boot licking government on the 5th of August last year, Indian journalists just can’t seem to stop writing all sorts of garbage about us). The incidents which I narrated in my book, all occurred in the part of the Sundarbans that belongs inside Bangladesh. Not India.

This Indian You Tube channel could have at least asked for my or Shaiaz’s permission before making a documentary about me. It’s not that I mind. I have absolutely nothing to hide, but I’m just annoyed. There should be a principle involved.

Indians can make documentaries about their own wildlife. They are a much bigger country with more forests than us. They shouldn’t make videos about what we do in our country, without our consent. It demonstrates a complete lack of ethics.

If Indian people like @Bapu or @krish did it, then I would totally understand. They are both people whom I’m friendly with & moreover they are fellow sportsmen (In Bapu’s case, he is also a hunter of man eaters). But for a You Tube channel to to just reproduce my story without my consent, is just plain wrong.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
