My first double rifle!

Congratz on your first double. Chapuis make a very nice rifle I have a 9.3 that is my favorite followed by my VC in 450/400. You will find the caliber to be easy to shoot and is a great round for your buffalo.

Chapuis are fine doubles and you picked a very versatile caliber (just procured a K-Gun in 450/400). Soft shooting but with a big punch! Enjoy your shake down cruise next outing...Congrats!

As far as advice on your first time at the range, I found that maintaining proper, consistent trigger pressure when switching from the front trigger to the back trigger was very important. I was pulling the shots on the left barrel (back trigger) to the left until I figured this out.
