My 2016 South Africa Hunt Countdown Begins

By the way Charlie, and anyone else on here, my first name is Charles. Look forward to more posts and pics in the future!

Meant to add in feel free to call me Charles

Well Charles it is.

Well Charlie, I'll have to ask Pieter to take me to the mountain side you are referring to, or straight to the pink shirt wearing Nyala

Pink shirted Nyala now that is going to make a great hunt!

This is the side of that mountain! Good hunting there! By the way do you need a red hartebeest ? If so there are some good ones here! Eland anyone? Warthog?? Reedy you are going to have so much fun!

Wow I dont watch for a day or two and the thread goes down hill fast. LOL Just for the record it takes a man to wear a pink shirt and take any animal.

I will deal with good old pieter in a month or so for his comments. The rest of you are now on my radar for pay back. The mtn that everyone is talking about is one beautiful area and has some great nyala bulls and a few giant eland that are really worth a try for.
For the record I was only running away to make the shot much hard to take the giraffe anyone can hit one at 50 yds but I like to be different.

Now Bill you sound like the kid who got caught.........Oh
Well we all like you pink shirt or no pink shirt!
The mountain is a great hunting area in particular the tar road going to the top! Fastest rain storm I've ever seen develop came over it during Bryson's hunt for warthog.

Bill,

I was already having trouble sleeping, now you and Charlie are putting not only big Nyala's in my head, but now big Eland and hartebeest! Sheesh!!
82 days!!!!

82 long DAYs! Can you stand it man? Sure you can.....because you are going to AFRICA! And you are hunting with Paw Print Safaris. No promise of Pink shirts but there will be plenty of game! By the way adding an Eland to the hunt is easy!

Here is a 24 1/2" red hartebeest take on the ranch CAustin is talking about. This was my friends number one animal he wanted and he got one of the longest one I had ever seen. It is not a super heavy horned one but the length was amazing.Other hunter in our groiup took a 23" also with his bow on the same place. We did not get on the eland there but one hunter did see them when we were there.

Nice Hartebeest, thanks for sharing!

75 days to go!!!! :E Excited:

Reedy. I just heard that Nyala season has been delayed this year in RSA until late July. Coincidentally just a few days before I get there :Happy: . Sorry for the bad news. LOL

Bloody big ones where you are going with Pieter!

Haha Lee. Hopefully Pieter can get a special favor called in for me!

Indeed! My 29" arrow with 150 grain VPA broad head passed thru the lungs of one in 2014. Just giving Reedy a hard time as my arrival date is unfortunately twice as long out as his.

Reedy. Pieter will surely do whatever he can. I think He is working on getting you a Nyala cow/calf permit. .

In all honesty I wish you the best of luck. I only wish my date was closer. Outside of Nyala what else is on your list?
