Must do hunts - species & locations?

Always wanted to do one of those 3-4 week classic full-bag African safaris (just don't have the time). Polar bear and Marco Polo Argali would be a hunt of a lifetime too.

But, I would settle for actually drawing a desert bighorn tag before I am too old to use it.
Me too. I will probably go to my grave before drawing a sheep tag in Az.

Better save the post when I said that, and check back in, say, five years. Then see if I'd fork over the $$$ for a bongo hunt.
Mountain Nyala are beautiful, some of my favorite antelope species. That hunt is far more attractive cost wise than a Bongo hunt - but still pricey!
I've done both bongo and mountain nyala, and I have the opposite opinion! I believe the bongo is a much more reasonable hunt that the mountain nyala. The trophy fee on the mountain nyala is $15,000 and is expected to increase, I'm told. The trophy fee on the bongo is a little less than $5,000 I think. In 2016 a bongo hunt could be had for just under $40,000 (13 days) while a mountain nyala hunt was generally 16 days and just under $50,000.

But I don't have the last word - there may be people with great deals, although I think in both Cameroon and especially Ethiopia, the government makes most of the rules.

I recommend Barbary sheep in West Texas as a very affordable open range 'big boy' hunt that requires physical exertion and rugged terrain. Prices are in the $5k range for good ram. Also unpredictable weather.

As an Alaskan I tell people to look at a fly out for caribou more than moose. Not that a moose isn't amazing, but your odds are a lot tougher, transportation fees add up and dealing with a 1200+ pound deer is work. Wait, I mean...WORK.

Getting flown into a good 'bou herd is just amazing.

I was going to write "Moz/Zim/Tan/Zam" but that sounded too much like the name of a boy band!

I thought those were the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...........:E Happy:

At my age any hunt I can do is pretty much the ultimate! Waiting on my September Cape buffalo and African varmint Sunset to Sunrise hunt with PawPrints.
After that what ever I can afford and physically do would be awesome!
Don't be too picky. Take what ever you can. Life isn't forever.

Hi, I would like to hunt Buffalo and Eland in Africa. Mule deer in the USA, and my favorite prairie dogs where available.
You and me both, brother!

Gemsbok, springbok, mountain zebra in Namibia. Iconic!
