MOZAMBIQUE: My safari With Juan Pace Of Chasseurs de Mocambique

Let us know how this turns out.
This is turning out as bad as could possibly be. I had become extremely sick and consequently my life savings has taken a tremendous hit. My health is currently stabilized, but financially I am just hanging on. This is how American health care works.

I've abandoned any attempt at recovering my trophies. There simply is no money available for import or taxidermy. I sold my previous trophies at auction and found they're worth only several hundred dollars each as "home decor", as no one wants someone else's trophies. I can't expect to recoup shipping expenses, much less any prep work, so my trophies from this trip are staying in Africa.

What a shit storm. I'm no longer working, and I sold my house, so my brother and sister-in-law are hosting me during recovery. Hopefully the crisis has run its course and I can rebuild, but right now I'm still very much in shock at how drastically things have changed and how much I've lost. But I'm feeling okay and the outlook is good, which I keep reminding myself is the important part, and that I need to maintain perspective. Losing the trophies is tragic, but not the end of my world.

You have a great attitude! Take care of yourself and thank God for your brother and sister in law.

You will be in our prayers.

David

Yes, I paid $40K in advance, and the $25K after, so $65K for everything.
Okay, you said you knew up front total cost $65K you had only paid $40K so you knew that so you had to know you had not paid the remaining $25K so where was the surprise ? Glad you had a great hunt!

I was under the impression that the $40K WAS the total. It wasn't until after I got home and was billed the additional $25K (which I was not expecting) that I understood what the true cost was.

I appreciate that. It's such an awesome feeling to discover just how much support friends and family will gladly provide when the chips are down. Grateful doesn't begin to describe my reaction.

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
