Mouflon sheep hunt in Croatia questions

I am little nervous about is the price was slightly higher if it scores over a certain size. I’m ok with that being traveling that far might as well try for the best but having never hunted sheep no telling what score it would be looking at it
On a European hunt you tell your guides and outfitter from the start what size category you are looking for or not to exceed. Something you’ll find in Europe is the game is heavily managed. Many areas employ full time game keepers that know the game extremely well. If you tell them what you’re looking for they’ll likely have a few specific animals in mind. I use to be nervous with European pricing but the more I hunt there the more comfortable I’ve become with it. At least so far, all European hunting I’ve done has been with extremely professional guides.

Best buy size (For all game species): just below the bronze medal.
When entering medal size, prices go up exponentially.

My guide has 2 prices the regular price and above a certain size price I’m good with the higher price just not sure how to measure them so I guess I’ll just have to trust.

Perhaps it may be obvious, but as another American in Europe, having a simple translation app was invaluable while hunting in Slovakia for red stag a couple of years back. The guide's English was very poor, non-existent, really, but with the app, smiles, gestures and holding up fingers, we managed to get along quite well. Even though I didn't kill a hirsch (the only shooter we found upon was just too large for my budget), I still handed the guide cash at the end. He appreciated it, and he earned it.

Have fun, though! Did not get a mouflon during my years here... maybe during another tour.

Hi PaulB,
I have a Ballard Arms Model 1885 chambered for .333 Jeffery Flanged. Do you have any idea where I can get ammo for this?

I am new to this forum so I am sorry if I am doing something wrong!
Thank You!
