Morning all!

Hello Jambi.470,

Khomas Highland Hunting Safaris of Namibia, welcomes you to the greatest forum on earth.

When you have a spare moment, take a look into the Khomas Safaris web site.

Even if you book your first Africa hunt with one of the other great outfits here nonetheless, I will be happy to answer your questions about hunting (and fishing) in Africa.
My self and others here might be able to help you decide what to bring, and what not to bring, especially in regards to rifles, ammunition, sighting arrangements, clothing, footwear, etc.

I am a firearms enthusiast and especially fascinated by double rifles.
And I will be happy to discuss my limited experience of having twice taken a double rifle to Africa.

However, there are other fellow members here who have way more experience with double rifles than I do and many more yet who, have way more experience with hunting in Africa, no matter what sort of rifles and / archery equipment is being discussed.
Also, the vast majority of members here in the world’s greatest forum, will no doubt be happy to jump in and answer your questions as well.

Best Regards,
Velo Dog.

Welcome welcome welcome

Hello everyone, it was suggested I join the forum to gain some grounding on the subject and hopefully strike up some contacts before embarking on a hunt in africa.
I suppose you could say I am predominantly a European hunter. I hunt the UKs main species of deer and have hunted over continental Europe for wild boar.
I have been to both Kenya and Tanzania on photographic safaris with my wife which was a great experience and only furthered my enthusiasm to pursue a hunting format next time I went.
I'm looking forward to reading some discussions and learning more.
Many thanks in advance to you all.
