Hi,
I'm trying to make an armadilla foot keychain, from roadkill..
I put the foot in a jar of salt for 90 days
I've been working with it to get it just right...anyhow, it still has a dead smell.
I polyurethane d it (1 spray can cost),
before noticed the smell.
Was I susposed to use a vinegar process?
And what should I do now?
Everyone thinks I'm crazy, lol, this is my first attempt at any of it. I find it pretty fun and interesting..please help!

Isn't $2500 kinda expensive for a four foot tall t-rex?

The smell is rotting tissue. Salt isn’t a tanning agent. You need to inject it with a preservative if it’s not to late. Try bird foot injection fluid.

Those are all artificial fish that I painted in different styles. All 3 are 8lb fish with one of which being a pre-spawn fish with big belly.
