Gents,
Just snagged Mauser m12 Impact for a song and dance. I know Blaser USA says these have a Teflon treatment in the bluing... but I'm trying to decide -- while it's still unfired -- if it's worth sending off to H&M for black nitriding. I especially like the idea of the bore being more moisture resistant for a bad weather rifle. And I've read that the hardening can make the action even smoother.
Can anyone comment firsthand on the durability of the m12's finish? (I think the Impact and Extreme have the same barrel coating?)
