What a great job they did and very good to see Italian smiths, that are often associated more with guns, or doubles than magazine rifles, turning out such fine work.

Are you planning to keep it as iron sights only - in some ways, it would be a shame to drill and tap that pristine action.

Yes, no rifle scope on this rifle , it is build as a dedicated walk/stalk short distance hunting in bush-veld areas of South African Limpopo regions..

I have cycled all the loaded rounds through the receiver, it cycles flawlessly, extracting positively , as smooth as my SAKO .300 as well as my Westley Richards 404 Jeffery rifle. This really is a superb rifle , incredible craftsmanship. The attention to detail is just incredible ....

Beautiful rifle!

Congratulations Gert, that's a fine looking rifle and I bet it will shoot as good as it looks!

Joe, thank you kindly , yes, it shoots as beautifully as it looks..I took it to the shooting range for the first time ever shooting a 9.3x62 caliber..it is extremely accurate at 100 meters from standing position..free hand..

I tried three different shooting sticks Saturday but struggle with it..so I opt to shoot off hand..and shot a great grouping open sights.. two shots at the rear part of the warthog body was the struggle with the shooting sticks...

I am building myself shooting sticks..I believe shooting sticks is a personal item, build to your specifications and body...this rifle is unbelievable soft to handle and fast pointing acquiring a target when it is pointing to the target..

I spend a while re-loading for the 9.3x62..here are some photos :I changed the OAL to 83mm since the cases filled up in such a way that the bullet was press down quite a bit to get to 83mm , just to fit into the magazine ...
I am considering other propellant to fill the cases little bit less...I now need to shoot these loads over a chronograph..

I found compressed loads as well until I found Ram Shot Big Game powder. 62 grains gives 91.7% fill rate, 2417 FPS at only 48,000 PSI. Groups clover leaf out of my 9.3x62

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
