Mine (3rd from left) is going to Africa this August, together with his single-shot brother just to the right of it. One of the interesting things about it is that it sports what I believe to be one of the (if not the) earliest commercially-available variable scope, a Voigtländer Panskopar 3.5x-6x.

M1903 in 6,5x54 Mannlicher-Schoenauer?

I too hope to go to Africa in September, to meet a group of Mannlicher-Schoenauer aficionados from RSA and Namibia.

HWL, yes--it is in 6.5x54, and shoots much better than I do! It has see-through mounts that are dead-on with the Prvi-Partizan 156-gr load as well as the 160-gr load I have developed to replicate it.

Your September trip sounds exciting. I'll be going to the Karoo for an all-vintage-rifle plains-game hunt. Best of luck and Waidmannsheil!

Here's the link for the Rigby style bolt knob peep sight. I don't have one, but have heard they are of the highest quality. If you cannot find a Lyman 36, here's a peep that will work.
