M70 Safari Express 416 Rem or cz 550 416 Rigby

I have a CZ 550 in 375 H & H. It has a great trigger and feeds well. I haven’t had any work done on it and all it needs is more shooting.

Congrats on a great rifle. The only reason I recommended the Model 70 is that it's lighter and I don't think the 375 H&H requires the heft that the calibers from 450 Rigby on up do. I love my CZ 550

between the two, the Win M70 is a superior rifle in every possible way. the CZ can be a very good rifle if your willing to spend more money on it but it will never be quite as nice as the Winchester unless you rebuild it from the action up.

Matt is spot on. The M70 out of the box is 100% just needs to be used some magazine springs seem a bit weak easy fix.
The new CZs I have experience with have a number of issues, rough action machining, rough trigger, very poor wood fit. All of which can be corrected.

One big plus for the CZ is the added magazine capacity! Possibly CZ has corrected these issues but I seriously doubt it. Out of the box a M70 is ready to hunt African DG. The current CZs (that I have had experience with) are not. With that said both are fine rifles.

I have a CZ 550 416 Rigby and was very surprised at how accurate it is, quarter in groups at 100 yds off bench rest with Hornady 400 GN DGX and DGS.

Nice find, pretty sure I saw that at Robbie's a year or so back. We were talking about how the 602 wasn't suppose to be in 416 Rigby. The BRNO yearbook I have says the 602 was made in 375H&H, 358 Mag, 458 mag, 300 win mag, and 7mm rem mag.

ZKK 600. 601 and 602 series, Fox (Yes center-fires), ZKM 452 series

Every rifle Model with a ZKK, ZKM, ZKW…first initial "Z" is for Zbrojovka Brno. I have a couple in .270 (600) and one rare offering in .223 (601)…love them! However Zbrojovka it self interprets to mean “Factory”. These rifles were designed by Zbrojovka Brno ("BRNO ARMS" stamped) but produced in small quantity 1964-1972 by Zbrojovka Brno. The genuine one's have stamp Z trade mark in circle on top on the receiver (not a CZ) and Zbrojovka Brno N.P on side of the receiver. My personal first ZKK-600 .270 is stamped on left side of the receiver 87. It was CZ made but under Brno license in 1987…Really great quality, almost like Brno, under Brno quality inspector residents still in CZ. This is the last year of Communist subsidized CZ production. 1990 was the beginning of the slide in ZKK quality and accuracy and 1993 was last year ZKK’s were produced. They have since been replaced "new and improved" CZ own 550 series based on... BRNO ZKK DESIGN!!!

Great find! Congrats I`m sure there is a good number of guys here pretty green of envy. Those things are very rare and highly sought after.
I would reconsider about changing the stock. Keep it original. It has a very good stock design for open sights. And I`m pretty sure the stock is made from premium English walnut with very dense grain making it perfect for a heavy recoiling rifle.
