And Thank you for the sewing tips. They drastically improved my stitches
Still no where near your skill level.

As you know, I like the natural, and was a bit concerned about getting it dirty, but didn’t during two safaris. (y)

No worries about the sling slipping, never had any issues with the one I got from @CBeck .
Thanks my friend….I prefer the natural too and the dirt, I mean patina, tells a story!

@CBeck, somehow, I've missed this thread and just found it. Very nice work Sir. I've got a buffalo hide that's tanned about to be shipped back to me from my last trip..... I need to run down and look at some options, break out a bottle of rum and discuss some projects when it arrives.

this might be worthy of a second thread, but can you share how you got your hide tanned for leather? In country or back home? Instructions you gave to your outfitter/skinners? Your tannery/taxidermist? Etc.

I have it done in country. My taxidermist has it done through his sources locally.

I’ve made several rifle slings for members lately, @Buckums @SETH RINGER …but,

WHO LOVES A GIVEAWAY?

I made a cartridge slide today just for the hell of it. I’ll post a pic tomorrow but I would love to send it to one of my AH brothers just for the hell of it. I get so much from reading this forum, without much to give back. So…..What’s a good way to do it for someone headed to Africa soon?? Internet draw straws? All I want in return is a good safari photo.

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary
