Lost or stolen guns on airlines

Had a friend get his 2 rifles stolen on the way back from Mozambique . They never found them. Airlines offered him 300.00. He contacted NRA as they have gun insurance for members ands he was a member. Guess you don't just get it, you have to sign up for it, so they told him to call his home owners insurance. He lost a CZ 375 with Leoupold scope and a 30-06 win. Home owners gave him what the book value was on them. Ended up being something like $1200.00. So with the airline money he got $1500.00. But insurance guy told him, had he had the guns apprised within 6 months of his loss they would have had to pay the appraisal price.
Ironically he had his name and phone # on the case and some guy from Dakar called him in the middle of the night 5 months later said he had his guns and for $500.00 he would ship them back to him. He told the guy to pound sand. This is the only case I Know of personally, that guns disappeared, never to be seen again.

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
