I saw an earlier post about wanting to buy double rifles and big bore guns and I thought I'd try my own luck with an all-call...But for left hand bolt guns this time. Looking for something in .416 or .450 Rigby or larger, thats affordable (if thats possible these days), so lets say less than $7K. I used to have a .458 WinMag but felt it was underpowered and sold her (sorry @Riflecrank ).

I don’t have anything for sale, but if a 458 win mag is underpowered, is a 416 or 450 Rigby going to do that much more?

As a Lefty I understand this is a tough one once you get larger than 375 H&H. I have seen one left-handed 416 Remington, in a pawn shop of all places, so they exist. After that it's probably a custom job, and not cheap.
Good luck.

Good luck to You.

I have a custom M70 Lefty in 416 Rem Mag I have been toying with selling. May not be big enough for you but I can send you pictures later tonight if its something you want to look at.

Jim Kobe did the metal work and Al Lind did the stock.

Also have almost a duplicate rifle in 416 RUM (375 RUM necked up)

I know I can't afford it but could you send pics. I like to drool over left handed guns i can't afford. It's a hobby.

Sounds good, send pics of both, pictures are always appreciated. Whats the increase in performance for the 416 RUM vs 416 Rem Mag?

I would consider it a personal favor if you would buy this left-handed 404 Jeffery at auction in a few weeks. It would protect me from using dubious logic to rationalize a reason to buy it myself. My 458 WM is definitely all I need but whenever I see certain large caliber left-handed rifles, my willpower starts to fade a bit. ;)

Yeah I saw that one. I was thinking of bidding, It's certainly nicer than the old 458 Win Mag I sold off; but not holding out any hope of winning it. I've lost several auctions recently to folks getting into bidding wars. And I'm not about to pay 10+ grand for something. Or in the case of that recent .577 T-Rex...$16K. I think I'll probably end up taking @BeeMaa advice and buy a Blaser R8 in .500 Jeffery. I mean they have left hand stocks, and they come in Green, my favorite color. Still trying to find one less than $10K though, maybe find a way to $8K.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
