Looking for African Furniture and Decor

And
Lewis Drake used to have great Camino furniture. I always wondered what his source was. Would be nice to find out now that Lewis is out of the business.
And the Lewis Drake Campaign Furniture comes from J&R Guram in India for a fraction of the price . They also supply fantastic gun cases and accessories.

Should make a buffalo scrotum leather recoil pad cover.

Or a leather cap. Could either be a real scrum cap. Or a ScrotumCap Scrotcap

Has a thread been this far off the tracks before?

There was a Hemingway Safari line from Thomasville Furniture for a while. You might call the local dealers and see if they can locate any in a showroom that hasn't been sold.
I second the Hemingway collection, I furnished my whole house with this collection by searching used on marketplace. It’s classy and very Africanesque…

Please don't get me wrong, this is not a boast, but just passing on that furniture is not just a table or a chair, it is something you can take so much pleasure in. Our entire home, every room is furnished in teak, mostly custom made. It is one of the advantages of living in Zimbabwe that this is the home of teak trees and a number of excellent craftsmen who work it. Yes, it was expensive, but it is an investment that will be handed down for generations, and it will last forever. More useful and rewarding than fancy cars that lose value.

Agree! When I was married to my dear wife of 30 years, we bought all Hemingway collection for our home and got so many complements on it. When I remarried, my wife just has different taste so my Africa type thinking goes in my office/trophy room and she gets the rest of the house and no it is not the Hemingway style...@red leg said he was a consultant for the rest of his house...I do not even rate that!!!!

You could Colletts taxidermy

or https://www.tci.co.zw/furniture/ and ask if they have abandoned furniture. Things people either did not pay for or abandoned after it was paid for and learned how much crating, clearing customs and shipping would cost.
LOL...I am still trying to get my elephant tusks and ear back from Colletts going on 18 months...I had to renew my US import with Conservation Force and I am still waiting. While I know many of you have been pleased with them, I am not.

I agree. Let someone else deal with getting it over here. By it from a U.S. vendor. Then you know what you’re all in cost are before you buy it.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
