Looking For A Left Handed .375

Thanks for all of the responses. I am still considering what to do. I have decided, however, that for my hunt this year, I won't "need" the .375. (Recognizing, of course, the inherent subjectivity in the concept of "need").

I am taking my 14 year old son with me and don't plan on hunting buff with him in tow. This will be an opportunity for us to explore and for him to take some nice planes game. It will be a .308 for him and a .300 Win Mag for me. I have a buddy who is pushing to go to Africa "soon", so the buff hunt might be in '18.

I used a 300 wsm borrowed from the outfitter and it worked beautifully. I did however buy that browning Abolt .375 H&H within a month of getting back!

As I plan a return trip to SA, I am considering what rifles to bring. I am Leabing towards a .375 for the versatility. The rub is that I am a lefty. I have looked at a CZ, but wanted to check here to see if there were other/better options.

If anyone has a left-handed .375 they are considering selling, please let me know.

Thank you in advance.

My A-bolt in 30-06 has never let me down. Browning hasn't neglected left-handers and I appreciate that.

I have the right handed version of the 375 Alaskan (laminated stock and stainless), but I have the 23 inch barrel version (hard to find). The 20 inch barrel would certainly be handier to carry but I am sure the report and recoil is pretty substantial.

CDNN also has the left handed 375 Ruger African, in the more traditional walnut and blued and it has the 23 inch barrel. Same price of $599. A real bargain and you can't go wrong with either choice.

If you're still looking for a left handed .375 H&H I have a Browning a-bolt with a scope which I don't remember what power. I also have a Remington 700 BDL Mag. left handed re-barreled to 300 H&H and scope. I would be interested in selling one or both. Let me know if you are interested and I'll dig them out of the safe and see kind and power of scopes.

The Remington 700 started life as a left handed 7 Mag. Now a 300H&H. It is a stock Remington wood stock, opened up to free float the barrel, a 4.5 by 14 Burris scope and 1 inch Limbsaver recoil pad. The action has been trued and the trigger reworked to adjust 1 to 4.5 lbs. It will shoot under .8 inch at 100 yd. with handloads. Looking for $1600. That includes shipping and insurance.

Shortride are you still looking to sell your Browning 375 abolt?

I vote for the Guide Gun. As mentioned it is available in. LH.

If you go with the Ruger, you might also consider a bump up in caliber to 416 Ruger. Performance is supposed to be similar to Rigby and Remington. Hornady makes a 400 gr DGX and DGS for it.

Just a thought.

I have read on AH you had some time in Vic Falls after hunting. May I ask you with whom you have planned / organized the Chobe NP tour and the different visits. (with my GF we will have 4 days and 3 nights there)
Thank in advance, I will appreciate your response.
