Looking For A Kimber Caprivi 375

Hi Doug— Germany is what Nashville SCI rep told me. Price was in euros and I think it was around 5300. Jacques

Interesting indeed! I thought all of Kimber’s current production was in Troy Alabama. Moving production of the Caprivi rifles to Germany doesn’t make sense. Labor costs there are considerably higher than Alabama.

I have a hard time keeping up, they were in Oregon then New Jersey now Troy
Mostly high end pistols but a damn fine rifle. Guy told me no plans for 458 Lott

I'm curious about Kimbers being made in Germany as well. I'd like to find a Caprivi in 458 Lott. I missed one here a short time ago and have mad at myself since! They are a lighter rifle for a DG rifle so I imagine the 458 Lott is a bit rough so hopefully someone was punished and wants to part with one.

You’re right about them being light! I have one in that chambering. I had to add a recoil reducer in the butt and some lead in the fore arm. Kept the balance but added about a pound. Much better, but the recoil is still…ummm…snappy! Still, I really like the rifle.

thank you very much

The link in the above response did not open for me.... Just letting the OP know that there is a Caprivi 375 listed here in the classifieds now in case you haven't seen it. I am not the listing member...just looking out for both parties.

I am a Newbie to this forum and realize this is an old post. I'll be heading to Mozambique November 2025 looking for a Caprivi in 375. If anyone knows of availability I am very interested appreciate any info. FYI trying to update profile it keeps rejecting my submission need to sort it out. Thanks in advance!

I’m biased because I own 2 Caprivi’s. One in .375 and the other in 458 Lott. I think these rifles are seriously underrated. Certainly a cut above the standard CZ or Winchester. More comparable to the Dakota…for a lot less money. Good luck with the sale.

I agree...they are more gun than CZ or Winchester...not as much as the Dakota but not priced that high either. A good value and step up from most factory rifles that need adjustments/mods to be properly setup in my opinion.

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]
