I have a Trijicon which fits but I'd also like to be able to use my Leica red dot, which uses the Docter footplate. Chris at HeymUSA doesn't have any Docter mounts.

I assume these are labeled according to the clamp-clamp tightened distance and not the rib width? The appropriate Trijicon mount is 8.3 mm tightened clamp-clamp, the rib is 11.68 mm wide. The Trijicon "for 11-12 mm ribs" is 11.48 closed which doesn't clamp on anything, which makes me think the number is related to the tightened clamps and not the rib.

Anyway, I know I can get another Trijicon and conversion plate (but that's not any fun). Does anyone have a base that would fit, or send me in the right direction for one? Thanks.

frank a reached out to a friend in Germany to see if he could find one. Will let you know answer.

Frank, you can find all of the above, and more, at Optic Trade, and order straight from the US. I have done it several times :)

I too have ordered from Optic Trade and the shipping was quite fast. Bought a Doctor mount for the CZ 19mm dovetail and it fits perfect.

Done. Thanks to all.

I am looking for a Trijicon RMR mount for my Heym 89B and Chris at Heym USA has told me he is looking for one but so far he doesn’t know when Heym will have one. I did look at Optic Trade web site but nothing comes up under a search for Trijicon Heym mount. I will call them tomorrow but wonder anyone here has a recommendation.

I wanted to suggest optics trade, but @One Day... has been faster! (y)

If you have a german claw mount now, I recommend getting the german claw ERA mount above pictured, bottom left. You'll have costs associated with fitting the claws, but it is wonderful to swap optics. The last thing you want is to clamp an optic to your rib crudely on a fine double.

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
