I have hunted with the Hoyt Carbon Defiant 34 for three years and have loved it. I’m not just saying this because it just so happens that I’m selling one . I’ve taken black bear, multiple Whitetails, and believe it or not a few groundhogs. It’s a great durable bow since they came out with the carbon. My guide in Namibia with @Khomashighlandhuntingsafaris (Errans) got me interested when he showed me a YouTube video of their “stress test”(ran over it with a full size truck and dry fired it several times and still shot it with no issues). I found it to be a great bow for rugged terrain hunts. It’s definitely designed for the backwoods “Cameron Hanes” style hunts. It also has been a very accurate bow as I used to group at 60+ yards with it as long as I did what I was supposed to do(proper form, back tension, etc). It runs well with a heavy arrow set up and is great for tougher game
