LIVE from Texas Taxidermy Convention 2025

Some really beautiful work! I attended the National Championship years ago when it was held in St. Charles, MO. I was amazed at what true artists can do. This year’s National Championship will be held East Peoria IL Aug 14-16. Might be worth the drive from St. Louis.

Wow, some amazing talent there! Thanks for sharing, keep them coming. (y)

The video link of a few things. I'm missing a segment from the professional division on my phone, so I guess I didn't hit record. I apologize in advance for the poor quality, but better than nothing, I suppose.

Yes, Scored an 89. I could not find any decent earliners in the US for either, and my first attempt at making my own failed. I ended up going with the standard bondo ear, which we'd do on normal mounts but judge wasn't a fan . Couple other tweaks here and there. 1 point from a blue is disappointing, but I quit seriously caring about competing 20 years ago once I earned my Blue in the Masters. I did these sorta last minute but I do appreciate the opportunity to keep learning. There were 2 big things I picked up on this show, which I'm excited to begin incorporating in some of my stuff. Keeps the mind engaged !! If you stop learning, then you might as well quit o_O

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
