Here is a slideshow of lion I came across.
Let's play the game !! with the new rule about hunting lion in Africa, do you think any of them is a ''shooter"".

May be you have some pictures to share.
Where do you think is the best country for lion nowadays?

Great pictures Christophe! I am by no means a "lion expert" but looks like, out of all of those pictures, one...maybe two shooter males. (Some of the pictures look like the same male). There are still some great lions in Zim but I would think Tanzania would be the top destination with Zambia and Botswana closed. My dream...a big old, scarred up, stinking, nasty looking, over the hill male!

with only the amount of info given by the photos i would say 3 or 4, but the 2 that havent got much mane on top look like adult selous lions that arent going to get a decent mane, and one could be shootable? and the one with the top knot type hairdo has the weirdest mane i have seen. :D

I agree there were 3 or 4, hard to tell if some of the slides where the same animal. Just looking at the body and then the face you could see some them were a lot older than others.

Tanzania would have to be the top destination. Not that other countries could be great again, if the government got their sh*t together!

Well, aging a lion is quite a burning subject !!! and out in the bush hunting them is very hard, for me in any case... even with the help of the trail cam..
Yes there is the same lion on different pictures.
I would shoot the one on picture: 1, 13, 36, 61, 62, 65, 67
The one on picture 61 has been shot last year in TZ. The experts said 5 1/2 years old..
Do you think that they live much longer than 6 years??? I am not sure.....

hi christophe i think it photo 62 or 65 where the pair is there, and the one behind has the top knot mane. now they must be approx the same age if not brothers, so would you shoot both or not the one with the top knot as it doesnt look as nice? what about the one approx no 22 side on photo he looks old enough dont you think? an interesting game you have put on here...which areas were the photos taken in, the selous i presume and ?

Hi Spike.t, I am not sure they are brother but anyway you are right, same age, I would shoot both of them but of course I would leave the top knot one as he looks funny... Oictures from TAWISA area, on the East side of the Luwegu.

Any pictures to share, alive or dead ??

Beautiful pictures Docman, really nice.
we can see some good signs to age these lions, black nose, teeth worn down. Where ever they come from, they are not Young, I think ....

please some more, just to talk about how can we age the KING....

I will be back on monday, going hunting wild boars for 2 days..... !!!!!

Good excersise a little quick to check for good augmentation on the noses but just watching it once it would have called 2 right off the bat

Will study it a bit more though, Cristophe, do you set up trail camps over/above the bait as well.

This tends to give me a good view of nose pigmentation as well as percentage thereof, as well as the head..

My best always

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!
