Nah I’m a commoner who spent the first 13 years of my working life (after highschool) as a machinist and did a trade (fitter and turner).
Furthest I’ve gone in education is a diploma in conservation and land management (wanted to do Biosecurity, but its job turnover rate isn’t great so hard to get into). Then tried just being a park ranger and all the entry level positions still want you to have experience (somehow nowadays all jobs want you to have experience at an entry level *shrugs* ). So ended up getting a job doing vegetation management on the gas fields. Team lead now and got my heavy rigid licence for trucks…and funnily enough now I’m thinking of pursuing a career as a bus driver. Pay sucks but life’s not about wealth either to me.
Got God, got my Wife, bought one of the cheapest houses in this town (which will be paid off next year hopefully). Don’t need much to enjoy life and don’t need to chase money (although it sure does help, ha!)
I’ve been very blessed in other ways - my parents didn’t have money (dad worked, mum stayed home to raise the 3 kids) but they did give me something far, far more important - a constant environment and a stable upbringing. Can never thank them enough for it.
Anyways that’s more than you wanted to know,
