Lets See Your Upland Shotguns

I was in the LL Bean in Freeport Maine drooling on this today….
Told wife I was super dispatcher she was not at the counter buying it for me
Super sweet little shotgun…

Picked up a 29 ga 686 Silver pigeon and broke it in on an upland hunt in South Africa- Swainson’s francolin, crested francolin with the PH Turkish O/U in 12 and busted out my old trusty 12ga SBE II for big guinea fowl flocks. Fun times

Hey,

With all the beautiful shotguns that are being posted, I feel a bit embarrassed posting mine...
But here it is, a Dickinson straight-pull in 20g.
This is the first 20g I've ever owned and I really like it.
It's the only shotgun I own now so it has to do it all!

A William Powell 12g . Made in 1951 and in perfect condition . Has a Webley & Scott action with a hidden Greener style cross bolt . Two sets of barrels 1/4 & 1/2 - good for walk up shooting and 3/4 & full for driven birds . 2&3/4 inch chambers . Have used it with the more open choke barrels and lighter shot loads on quail over dogs . It worked well albeit probably a bit too heavy . Taking it out for a 300 bird driven pheasant day in July with the heavier choked barrels . Will not disappoint .

I’m a member of the not so fine shotgun club. I have a nice Citori 12ga Hunter that I really like but my favorite shotgun is an old black plastic stocked 870 Express. IIRC I bought it brand new from WalMart about 30 years ago. I think I paid about $175 for it. I’ve hunted duck, geese, turkey, dove and quail with that pump gun. It’s never failed me.

Understandably this forum focuses on rifles.

I can say when I was in Mozambique last September I dreamed of having a few free mornings and sitting at a waterhole for Doves, Pigeons & Parrots. I think I could have shot a few hundred rounds everyday for the morning flight!

I've hunted all over the US with these shotguns and taken more upland birds than I can remember.

These are my uplanders. Caesar Guerini Woodlander in 12 Gauge & Tempio in 28 Gauge.
They fit me well right off the rack, point nicely and are light in my hands.

As the saying goes, life is too short to hunt with an ugly gun! For me, these two are the apples of my eye.

@ftrovato - Nice pair of Caesar’s ! Really like the Prince of Wales grip for upland hunting. Beautiful wood on both of yours
I am a Caesar fan and have a Summit 12ga & 20ga w/32” barrels for Sporting Clays. I actually think 30” is plenty and especially if you want to hunt with them.
I’ve found the Customer Service from Caesar is every bit as Outstanding as people told me. I took one of mine back to have a thinner recoil pad put on it - to shorten LOP by just a 1/4” —— dropped it off to their place in Maryland and had it back in 2 weeks. They will also Answer their phone with a “Live person” whenever you call — Outstanding.

Back After a Long Time – Hello Again!

Hi everyone,

I’ve been a member since 2015 but haven’t been active since 2017. Life got busy, especially with building my second business. Still, I’ve kept my passion for hunting and followed things from afar. Now that I have more time, I’m excited to reconnect, contribute, and be part of the community again.

All the best,
ANDY

I'd like a bag of 100. I could actually pick it up since I'm in North Irving, but if you prefer, shipping it is fine.
