Let’s see your pup

Just like me, skeptical.

The hound had a couple of his other German pals over for a visit yesterday.

We lost our Heeler to cancer over the summer. Not having a pup around the house was very hard.

I picked up this GSP pup after months long search for an available puppy, the local chukars and huns are going to be in trouble this fall. Looking forward to the years to come hunting with her.

I have a Karakachan! And two GP/Anatolian crosses, and one GP/Anatolian/Karakachan cross. They work for a living with the livestock. Then I have a Heeler puppy that never leaves my side. And a lab mix that is never late for dinner.

I don't have handy pictures of all of them but here is my Karakachan, Heeler, and Lab.

My best friend and hunting partner died last night... we had 12 great hunting seasons together, she was the best dog of my life and was totally "bird crazy." She had a true heart. Happy Hunting in Golden fields, Lexie.

Tough time. Been there. Coming again soon, I'm afraid. My French Britt just turned fourteen. Getting quite gray and lost most of her hearing but surprisingly still quite nimble. Might be another hunting season for her.

Think about another pup. Lexie would not want you grieving. Don't waste that love. She would want you to be happy. It's all she ever wanted.

Laid to rest in a beautiful forest meadow where the grouse and deer can keep her company on cool evenings and sunlight can filter down through the foliage of the maple trees. Where she can get excited by occasional gun shots, and dream of past hunts, birds chased and a family who loved her.

Sorry for your loss.

Try not to forget all the love there was between the first hello and last goodbye.

We lost our beloved German Shepard, Bo, a little over a year ago and my heart still aches.

My oldest and dearest friend committed suicide and Bo was there to console me the instant I got the news. Bo was also dying of lymphoma. We spent a lot of time and money to get 2 more years out of him and it was worth every bit. We lost Bo a few weeks after my friends death. Tears come easy for both of them…

The other 2 dogs knew he wasn’t well and they showered him with love and affection.

He was great with dogs and kids alike.

He was a trooper right up to the end…

It’s a hard thing, laying to rest a family member… It can and will gut you, I’m so sorry…

Thanks, sir... and everyone. It is hard losing a loyal and true canine friend. This one was especially hard, as she was exceptional in all regards, and with her, I had much more time to spend afield... weeks and weeks every year, chasing all manner of birds and loving every minute of it... I don't know if I have the heart to do it again.
