Hi guys,

One of my outfitters just wrote and he has gotten a left over Leopard tag for 2014. The hunt is in a great area in the NW part on Namibia, they have taken some great cats in the area over the years. 14 day hunt includes:

14 day hunt $9,800
• Full accommodation duration of hunt
• Service of Professional hunter and tracker
• All meals and non-alcoholic drinks
• Transport to and from the area and airport
• Value added tax

Trophy fee only if Leopard taken $6,300

LICENSES, TAG AND HUNTING PREPARATION FEES
If you book a Safari date before June 2014 $2,800
If you book a Safari date after June 2014 $5,600

INCLUDES:
• Leopard hunting tag
• Namibian Leopard hunting licenses
• Pre-bait, for duration leading up to the hunt

If you booked before June, hunt including trophy fee would be $18,900

$18,900 for Namibia? YIKES!

I can see that price for the operations that everything is down to a fine science. Not condoning it, just explaining a rational reason.

I will keep trying to get a Leopard hunt in Namibia.
I understand this is market`s law .

Good hunts cost money, no matter how affordable the hunt is, if it's unsuccessful it was an expensive waste of time.

I recently spoke to a client who had taken 3 unsuccessful leopard hunts in the past @12-14k each (not with me) . With flights he was into those hunts over $50,000 and no cat. The outfitter we were discussing is 100% and his hunt is 20K and he said it was too expensive. He booked a 4th hunt for $15k plus flights etc (also not with me). only to have another unsuccessful trip. Leopard is a hunt most people do only once, my thought is find the very best and book it. Buy once, cry once, you wont regret it when your trophy is in the salt.

Buy one or buy multiple times to get a leopard...so true.

leopard is the one thing l really want to take with a bow can l hunt one there with it and hearing lots of talk of outfitters shareing one tag and getting u there and u only see tracks

This is true, there are many unscrupulous outfitters out there, who are booking hunters in hopes of getting a tag or export permit after they have your money, lots of guys get burned every year. RSA is top of the list for this. there are still some great hunts there and some huge cats, but permits are extremely limited.

Good Morning x84958
I have read your post about Jamy Traut and your hunt in Caprivi. I am planning such a hunt for 2026, Oct with Jamy.
Just a question , because I will combine Caprivi and Panorama for PG, is the daily rate the same the week long, I mean the one for Caprivi or when in Panorama it will be a PG rate ?
thank you and congrats for your story.
Best regards
Philippe from France
