Layover in Johannesburg advice

City Lodge, you do not leave the inside of the airport. Intercontinental you walk outside and take the sidewalk to the hotel. Intercontinental is actually a shorter walk.
Correct. It simply depends on what a guy wants to spend and how much time you have. If I’m very short on time I’ll stay at City Lodge. If I have more time I really enjoy the Intercontinental. This is my bottom line on staying at JNB. I am not opposed to staying at Africa Sky but again it depends on the time frame.
One time I was with friends who wanted to stay at the casino hotels. It was a pain getting there and back and really didn’t have time to do anything there. I think I had a 7am departure. Not my cup of tea

I'm confused. I understood the Africa Sky was right across the street from the

Intrnl Airport but when I go on their site it says it's 10km, ????

Graham , Africa sky will meet you in the airport, do the prearranged gun processing, and take you to their compound

We are heading to Port Elizabeth ultimately for our safari. The flight I am considering lands in Johannesburg at 9:30pm and the flight to PE is not until 6:30am. Does anyone have any advice on where to get a decent meal and a good nights sleep for that time? Is it feasible/advisable to have a diversion at that time of night in Jo'burg?
2 Hotels at the airport it's a great place to hang out for a night. Intercon is awesome.

Only City Lodge and Intercontinental are at the airport. Protea as well I guess but I’ve not stayed there.
Feel free to reach out if you have more questions. I’ve done it a few times.
