I'm going back to Africa in exactly 1 year next June for a Leopard hunt 14 days and possibly hyena. My goodness I've always been a big fan of Zeiss, Swaro and Kahles scopes for extreme low light hunting. I just received my new S&B Polar T96 4-16x50 today. This thing has 96% light transmission in a 34mm tube. I thought my Zeiss Victory 3-12x56 was bright on those dark evenings deer hunting at 92%. I know these scopes have been out for like 4 or 5 years. This really has set a benchmark for resolution and brightness in low light.

The rifle scope industry has gone mad with the long range shooting. This is just a basic scope with ordinary turrets that's bright as anything I've ever looked though. I'm hoping if leo shows up at last light I can actually see what I'm aiming at and get an ethical shot off.

Very Nice. Curious what rifle do you have it on?

Great light transmitting abilities, compared mine to several top brands at dusk and dawn. Noticable difference.

S&B Polar is a fine optic.

Be sure to write a report about your hunt! Good luck!
