Kudu Pictures

Fantastic that big bulls are still out there, I did type incorrectly, 71 not 72 inches.

Not the biggest kudu I have ever guided, but one of my most rewarding, a client who has been dreaming of hunting a kudu for 55 years, missed a snorter the first afternoon, last afternoon 12 bulls standing together, could only manage a shot on the 3rd biggest, waited 23 minutes for the shot...race against the light. Client was from a country called Suriname, didn't even know it exsisted. That night around the fire his younger brother a professional musician wrote and sung a song about the whole hunt..by the end of the song, we all had tears in our eyes...humbling experience.

After looking at all theses great pics I have to ask a Question,,does the Area, Terrian, Forest Density etc determine the spread of the Horns, Also the thickness of the Bases doesn't seem to go hand in hand with the length on some of these specimans

ROB44, the main effect on horn growth is usually to do with minerals in the soil.

My son took this 50 incher in 2013. The smile says it all!

Are the third and forth photos of kudu you have taken? I have seen photos of the forth kudu before. Impressive.
Yes I have posted #4 before a couple of times but It was taken by my cousin and #3 was taken by a friend of mine. Both were taken on my parents farm if I am not mistaken. Here is a front view.

Love the flares on the last two. (y) Do you remember how long those two kudu were?

Thanks. Ill try to find the 64 and 65 inch ones photos also but #3 was 62.5 or 63 and #4 barely made 60(think 60 1/18) on the right horn. Were taken a long time ago so the memory is a bit blurry.

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!
