KMG Hunting Safaris 2025 Season Photos

We get asked many times what is our favorite animal to hunt. The Bushbuck could be one that challenges us the most, but it sure is the one that is the most rewarding.
They are without a doubt the most temperamental animals out there. On beautiful days they will go missing, and be out in the worst conditions. He does what he wants.

Bushbuck are incredible to hunt.

This Caracal took us to some deep country. We had received a call from one of the nearby sheep farmers that one of his Merino Sheep ewes had been caught. Staff members noticed something in the grass and upon inspection, found the dead ewe, with the Caracal crouching behind and taking off as they approached. He phoned us to bring the hounds and upon dropping them next to the ewe, they immediately started working the scent.
Once the cat was treed and we approached, the cat got nervous and jumped. heading deeper down the valley. With the hounds so close on its tail, it wasn't long and they had it treed again. This time, we wasted no time and finished the job.
Hunting them this way over hounds is effective and accurate. Having three packs working the area, and being surrounded by stock farmers, ensures that we can offer excellent odds at getting our hunters on to these highly sought after animals.

When Africa offers you a blessing, you better be ready to accept it. This is a stellar Waterbuck coming in at 32". A Waterbuck was never on our hunter's list, but when an animal in this class walks out, it was never in question.

What animals were there that wasn't on your list, that you now regret not taking when you had the opportunity?

Ivory tips is not something that is common on Bushbuck. This old ram was heavy all the way up with the some ivory to show. Typical Cape Bushbuck with his dark, chocolate coat.

Another magnificent Cape Kudu bull that broke the 50" mark. Since 2019, we started focusing heavily on age. Now, 6 years later, we can physically see the fruits of our labor from our decisions we made back then. So many more animals that we hunt during current times, on their last teeth.

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx
