KMG Hunting Safaris 2025 Season Photos

Certainly one of the more handsome animals in Africa, this great Nyala bull played cat and mouse with us among the trees. Without trying to give away our position too early, we had to make our move at the correct point in time or risk him disappearing. Heavy bases, big bell and long ivory tips.

Lovely Lechwe with big hooks and solid bases. This hunt just reminded me that a hunt does not always goes as planned. When it doesn't, make sure you have good dogs.

Beautiful Common Reedbuck hunted with us recently. They are the champions of hide and seek. Early mornings and late afternoons get them moving before bedding down for most of the day. Patience is the name of the game.

Does it get any better than this shape of Nyala. Length, big ivory with flaring tips are what dreams are made of!

A Wonderful Cape Eland bull that simply had everything. A big Eland bull is one of the most impressive animals that Africa has to offer. With their rut generally around January, one can often see the bulls swell up in the late season getting ready for the cows. Shot placement with a good bullet is key.

Agreed, the more I look at this species the more I like the mop over the horns. So unique, it like an antelope with a mullet, all party in the front!
Thank you Stephen!

We always welcome the ladies to get in on the action. This Stallion fell to a single shot from a 300 Win Mag after a long stalk. Who has enjoyed Zebra fillets and what were your thoughts? I have my reservations... :censored:

Here is another light colored Bushbuck ram from our areas. The Eastern Cape are notorious for producing dark, chocolate rams with some of them almost black. My personal opinion is that this is often when the individual animal is in his prime, and my observations have been that they turn "grey" from age just like we do. I have seen numerous old rams that we have taken in the past, and all of these rams seem to be lighter in color. This specific ram had beautiful spots on him from the rump through his flank.

What are your thoughts regarding Bushpigs? Often discussing with hunters, especially from the USA, those who choose not to hunt one, will often state that they have hunted many pigs back home so a Bushpig simply does not excite them. Bushpigs are a species in their own, not a feral pig. They can give you sleepless nights from being on a great schedule and not missing a night on the bait, to the most random timescale for no reason. Given the opportunity at a big boar, would you take it? Or simply not interested?

No photo trickery here. Just a brute of a Red Hartebeest for our hunter. Hartebeest are one of the toughest to take a good photo of. Somewhere along the lines, one has to give up a certain aspect of a big bull. The big bell, the height off the skull and the length of the tips all need to get captured in a single photo.

Great Fallow Deer buck taken with us during the post-rut in the Eastern Cape of South Africa in late April. They have such an interesting story, and have been along our shores for so long that we consider them one of our own. Many others were passed on before settling on this particular buck and we could not be happier.
